If you permit me I can give you a little brief about me and about our company WISDOM ATTIRES LTD.

As a freedom fighter we fought for our country with the spirit to make our country a prosperous one in the world. Our dream was to see every single Bangladeshi live in peace with social and financial stability. With this believe in mind I came in to this trade in the year 1985.

That time I start a small sewing factory with just few machines to produce few baby suit and dresses to sell in local market. At that time we use to collect different design from our different sources from abroad. We made same as our collection and sell to the local market by me dozen by dozen. I did like this for one year. At the end of 1986 I got one contact in Tirupur, India. I heard that in Tirupur is the best place for producing knit garments.

After learning that I have was very much interested to visit there. But I don’t have enough money even that time to go there. Somehow with lot of difficulty I arranged some money to be there.

Whatever after lot of complicacy finally I arrived in Tirupur to learn knit garments. And for my first surprise was that the hotel. The hotel was renting only a camp bed, one blanket and a bucket. All other facility is under open sky. The food was the main problem for me. Whatever they eat, they eat with coconut. And I couldn’t eat coconut with food. I stayed there 3 weeks and in those three weeks I only eat sour yogurts and beans. It was the only food I could take there.

While staying there I learn how they make knit fabrics from yarn with knitting machine. What is knitting machine? How it works. After that what is dyeing? How they make dyeing and finishing? And finally the sewing. It was the most valuable and interesting experience of my life other than freedom fighting.

After Returning from Tirupur I gave my total concentration on this business. With my full effort I started to make one small knitting factory and one small sewing factory.

In 1988 we got our very first export order and we export for US 46,000.00. And that was the beginning. Next year we exported 15 times more than first year. In third year of our export we exported more than US $ 1.50 million. And last year our export was more than US $ 14.00 million. And this year we hope to export around US $ 17.00 million.

In last 20 years I don’t know what I could exactly achieve. But my points of satisfaction till today are
